April 4th, Year One
Serenity's cheeks flushed red as she continued to read her story. It was a steamy romance novel that she had secretly borrowed from Venus and after her encounter with that handsome young man from Terra she had taken it from its hiding spot between her mattress and started to read whenever she found herself alone. It was hard, trying to find a moments peace to read her romance when she was constantly surrounded by palace guards, her guardians or her nanny Luna but tonight, tonight she had lucked out.
Serenity had snuck off to the throne room that stood empty tonight for some peace and quiet to read. Her mother was hosting some kind of gathering on the far end of the palace that did not require her attendance...something or another, Luna had told her about it during her studies but Serenity had zoned herself out with daydreams about the forbidden planet that she did not hear a word that was said. For all she knew she was required to be there...Hopefully not...But, no one had come looking for her just yet so the princess prayed that she was safe.
Turning the pages of the book Serenity was completely engrossed in the story...Venus sure did have....eclectic taste. This romance was exciting and tragic, full of breath catching romance, swashbuckling adventures and a handsome and tragic hero...a story that filled the young and nieave mind of the princess with wild fantasies. Filled her mind so much that her imagination had run wild to the point where she did not hear nor notice that someone had entered the throne room and was speaking to her.

Attempting to get a little peace from standing outside, protecting, the gathering. She had one of the other senshi cover for her, saying that she needed a break.
Granted she could have gone to her office...but that seemed too close. Even the gardens but she chose to continue walking for a further destination.
Her thoughts didn't plague her as she walked around the Moon's palace. Venus thought she would find sanctum in a
She walked into the throne room, as far as she could get from the gathering. Seeing the royals of the other planets had made her stomach ache. The deported princess of Venus didn't want to see the people who feared her from her home.
No...that place wasn't hers anymore. She was a representative of the volcanic planet. Nothing more. Nothing less.
She exhaled when she closed the door behind her. However, she noticed she wasn't alone. Venus saw her young princess laying with her eyes on something...
"SERENITY!" Venus hissed as she saw the young girl. "Why aren't you with--" Her eyes narrowed when she saw the familiar cover of the book. A title from her scandalous library, she saw. "Oh." She said with a devious grin. "Enjoying yourself?"

Realizing someone was yelling her name made the princess jump and she quickly shut the book and threw it aside, hoping that whoever this was hadn't seen what she was reading. But, upon looking up and seeing no other than the girl she had 'borrowed' the book from she knew she was caught just by the look on Venus's face. I don't know what your talking about... The princess said as calmly and professionally as she could while trying to control the heat rushing to her face I was just in here....thinking.. Mentally the princess was kicking herself, she was digging a deeper and deeper hole.

"Thinking, you say?" The leaders grinned. "How did you get it out of my room without me noticing?" Venus's chuckle had a sinister touch to it. "It's one of my favorites. It pretty...graphic." One of her eyebrows twitched upwards.
She walked over to where her book had been thrown. "There was no need throw it. I already saw it." Venus rolled her eyes even if the princess couldn't see it. She squatted to grab the book with a ragged cover. Her fingers enclosed the book between her long fingers and stroked the cover.
She plopped down next to the princess. She wasn't nearly as careful or precautions as she was with the queen. Venus treated the princess like a little sister. Venus saw it as her purpose to guide and develop her young brain as well as corrupt it.
Venus snaked an arm across her shoulders and pulled the blushing heir closer to her. "Can I tell you a secret, dear princess?"

Serenity thought she was going to die, her cheeks were a bright crimson and her embarrassment was overwhelming...true, she could have been found out by someone worse..Someone like Mars, or Luna....or her mother. That thought made her shudder. What would she possibly say to her mother? Even if the queen may have just laughed it off it would be the fact of being caught that would kill her.. So yes, Venus was not the worst person to be caught by, but at the same time she was. Venus would never let her live this down and with how...brash the Goddess of love was about this type of thing...
I uh... she started, stumbling over her words when her friend asked her how she managed to get the book without her knowing. It had taken a great deal of cunning on her part..which was no small feat since the Princess was not known for her stealth. Serenity watched Venus go and pick up the book and she was getting ready to start throwing out all kind of words of apologies and forgiveness when the orange clad leader sat down next to her, wrapped her arm around her and asked if she could tell her a secret. Of course.. she told her, trying not to meet the others eyes because of her own embarrassment.

Venus smirked for a moment at the princess's response. One of Venus's favorite pass times was embarrassing others with her lack of observing normal taboos and shame of her sexuality.
When others broke those taboos and exposed what she long had, it was always hilarious.
"You can not tell a soul." She spoke quietly. "Do you promise?" She was eager to tell the princess what she had thought about this book.
Her neck extended, so her lips would be close to the heiresses's ear.
"You see, this book has a special place in this jaded heart of mine." Pausing for a moment, she smiled sadly. "I dream for a man of the same caliber. Someone who would keep up with me, y'know?"
"If I were to ever fall in love, it would be with a man like the protagonist." She paused to let her earnest words seep in. She parted from the princess. Venus let her arm fall as she took the book in her lap. She read a couple of lines before asking. "Also, am I crazy to hope to make love like page one ninety-three?"

Nao walked into the throne room she had been in the Gathering with her cousin who had talked her into wearing a dress and heels. She had dug through her luggage and lovingly pulled out one of her mothers favorite dress it was a blue off the shoulders dress with yellow around the hem of the skirt and neckline with a yellow sash around the waist. She also pulled out the shoes that came with it which were yellow and a half inch heel. She had stayed but was having a hard time sitting in their and watching several family’s walking by and having fun something she wouldn't have again.
At this point she decided she needed to go some where else she had some reports on her men to read over. She may not actually be on Uranus but it didn't mean she didn't have work to do. So here she was walking into the throne room figuring it would be quiet. She had a folder in her left hand and was holding up the skirt of her dress with her right. The cold look that was normally on her face had been reinforced looking even colder than normal.
Yes she would let her emotions out but she would wait until she was alone or it was just Amara with her no one else would see her in that state. She walked in and saw the blond senshi she thought her cousin had said was sailor Venus. She had seen the other girl around as well and knew her to be princess Serenity.
She walked as quietly as her heels would allow but their was still a faint clicking noise. She walked passed nodding to both girls and found a corner of the room and started reading the reports she had stored in her folder. She didn't expect either girl to bother her and hoped they wouldn't mainly because she was always uncomfortable in social situations like that. As she had walked past she could see some kind of book in the ones hands but it didn't seem like the kind she would read.

Serenity looked at Venus with wide, starry eyes. Really? She asked. Venus sounded so....downcasted, the princess would think that with her being the Senshi of Love and the Goddess of Love that finding a man like what the book described would be a easy task...seems not and Serenity felt sad for her friend and guardian. As Venus pulled away and asked if it would be crazy to...be with...someone like what was described on a certain page Serenity's checks flushed red. She thought they had been having a moment, a very serious moment but now the princess young, pure mind was over run with certain thoughts.
Serenity knew quite well what Venus was talking about..she had read that passage over and over again when she finally reached it, it had almost been too much for her but something about it fascinated her and kept her wanting more. Of course Venus was going to expose that. Sometimes -one of those times being now- she wished she could just absorb into the ground and get away from awkward situations. Can I tell you something also? She asked while clearing her throat and trying to hide the embarrassment in her voice. As she spoke the doors to the room opened and in walked another woman...it was a woman that the princess had seen around but had never spoken too. Ugh, why her? Peace and quiet was never easy to come by in the palace....but it seemed the woman wanted to be alone as well...She turned her attention back to Venus to get her answer before lowering her voice so she could share her secret and it be between just them. I think...I think I'm in love
The words felt...odd coming from her lips. Serenity had never been in love before, not that she didn't know what it was and she had love for many people here just not..romantic love. She thought she was being foolish but ever since their meeting all she could think about was the young man from earth.

Whenever Princess Serenity asked Venus if it was fact, she nodded twice. "Mmhmm." She hummed.
She loved how pink Serenity's cheeks were from all the embarrassment she had experienced at Venus's arrival. Venus listened to the young girl reveal that she had something to share of her own.
The quiet 'l' word echoed in her ears. She felt her eyes as if they were swelling out of their sockets and her breath constricting in her chest.
Had she fallen in love with the few males that had streamed in? Their knees shook and they knelt all too easily in the presence of anyone with any sort of authority.
One of those men? Where had she found him...or her?
"Love?" Venus was hesitant. She was half excited and half frightened. Torn in two, as always. Venus thought sadly. The princess who was thrilled and eager to see how it all turns out. Then the leader, who knows nothing but bad outcomes. "Well, I assure you, hailing from Venus, I can tell you in a heartbeat." The elder blonde said with an assuring smile and her trademark wink.
"Tell me from the beginning!" She smiled. Her tone, still the quiet and intimate one they had been sharing. "Tell me, how my young princess's love story started."

Nao could hear the two girls talking but couldn't hear what was being said but she did hear the word love. She smiled behind the report she had been reading not that it could be seen as she had the report in front of her face. She always enjoyed watching younger girls talk but it always made her wonder if she had ever been that care free. She couldn't remember the last time she had let her cold mask down in front of anyone who wasn't her beloved cousin she had a feeling the last time anyone other than Amara had seen the true Nao that lay under that cold mask was right before the attack.
She watched the girls over her paper her eyes softening just a little bit. she hoped none of the inner court would have to see the horrors she had seen and lived through all of which turned her into the woman she was today.
How was it one simple word could make her start thinking about all the stuff she had been through yet still end in the same place on the same person. All on the same blond with silver-Grey eyes. To her beloved cousin who if the need arose she would give her life to protect without a second thought. She shook her head she was getting sentimental again that was not a good thing yet she still watched the other two girls in the room with her.

She wanted the whole story? Serenity wasn't sure that the whole story was a wise idea to tell her, even if Venus was her friend...more like her sister but some things were best kept secret, Venus may be her friend and all but she was still a Senshi, still sworn to protect her as the princess and if she were to tell her how she snuck off to earth and met a man there...she would be on palace lockdown and if Serenity ever wanted another chance to see Ender it was best to keep him to herself. I think that it better saved for another time but oh Venus... the princess started dreamily he is so handsome and kind...has the most beautiful eyes and is the perfect gentleman She could go on and probably would if not for the extra set of ears in the room.

"Oh fine." Venus pouted a bit whenever Serenity told her that she would have to tell her another time. As Serenity began again, she felt herself drift off with her words. Venus was so happy for the girl. Serenity had found some one who cared for her. A "perfect gentleman" to her.
A nagging and terrible feeling hit her gut. She hoped for her sake that he wasn't using her since she was princess of the entire solar system.
Anything but that. However, Venus didn't say anything. She simply smiled and squeezed her princess's hands lovingly.
"That's excellent. Anyone who is less than a gentleman to you...well is a barbarian." She giggled. "Also has the threat to be persecuted by the senshi. So one false move..." She drew a line with her gloved index finger across her neck. Venus laughed at the thought.
Her voice lowered and she placed them against her princess's ear. "...And you were reading my book, perhaps for tips?" The blonde leader's lips played at a smirk.

Serenity almost laughed at Venus with how sad she seemed that she was putting the conversation on hold. As her friend kept going on how anyone less than a gentleman would be a barbarian the princess couldn't suppress the giggle. I don't think you will have to worry about that When Venus kept going and brought back the subject of her book Serenity’s cheeks that had just started to go back to their normal pale color quickly flushed bright red again. N-no... she stammered out It just looked...interesting. I thought it would be a good romance story...not a smut story....

"If you thought it was going to be a dry romance story, you're better off looking in the Library." She grinned with pride as she began again in the hushed tone. "I have cultivated my personal romance library from the most risque bookstores on Venus. As well as a couple from Mars and Jupiter, but those are no fun because Martians love killing their mates in a terrible way at the end and Jupitarians all contain men like the king or are the king. I'm not okay with reading about Lady Jupiter's dad like that." She shuddered a bit. She looked at Serenity's reaction before continuing. Instead of continuing on about her erotic novels collection she changed the subject.
She sighed as she continued talking. The devious glint in her eyes fading away. "Anyway, I only wish for you to be in good hands. Also, for the next king of the moon not to be a creep." Venus said with a nudge and a smile.

Serenity shuddered at both descriptions. It was true thou..the people of Mars were not ones that were much into romance and the people of Jupiter...Serenity shuddered, she didn't want to think of its King in that way either. 'You are so horrible” the princess proclaimed while shaking her head a bit and closing her eyes, trying to get the lude image that Venus had put in there about their friends father.
As Venus mentioned the 'next King of the moon' Serenity opened her eyes once more and turned them on her friend don't get so ahead of yourself! She had just met the man and here Venus was already talking marriage! Ender didn't know who she really was...and that pained her. She had lied to him, had pretended to be someone she wasn't and he had believed her, what would he think if he were to find out the truth? Royalty and common folk could not marry...even if she loved him Serenity would be expected to marry someone with a title, it was her duty as the Princess. I only just met him, really Venus. The princess was becoming continually flustered the longer she talked about her love life with her friend and she was beginning to think that Venus was doing it on purpose.
