Sailor Uranus
Alias: Princess Amara of Miranda; most often called Lady Uranus Age: 339. Family:
- Uranus, 717, King of Uranus
- Thalassa, Deceased at 365, Queen of Uranus
- No siblings
Guardians: None.
Rank: Leader of the Outer Senshi, Power(s): Amara’s powers are mostly based around her ability to control the winds, and melee combat. She possesses the First Talisman, the Space Sword. Abilities: Amara is extremely fast and flexible; she was trained from a young age to be a master in every fighting art known to her people.
Traits: Amara, as most Uranians are, is extremely good at combat – so much so, that she isn’t quite sure how to deal with people outside of it. Like most Uranian women, she embodies what others would see as a perfect balance between the masculine and the feminine – at least, others would see it so if they could understand it. As most cannot, they see her as simply a man, should they meet her in civilian form, or a woman, should they meet her in Senshi form. Habits: Amara enjoys running, and combat training in any form; she also enjoys politics and strategy, and enjoys a game of wits just as well as a sparring match. She is also, as she had been told, a very experienced lover. Description: Senshi Fuku: Her fuku is standard; white leotard, pleated mini-skirt, sailor collar, and back bow in navy, along with her front bow being gold. Her choker, tiara gem, the bands of her mid-forearm gloves, and the ankle boots she wears are also navy. A single gold hoop earring take place in her left ear. Civilian: Her attire of choice, when not in her fuku, are tailored suits; all tend to follow the color scheme of being navy with gold and/or white accents. Appearance: Amara is tall with short, white-blonde hair, and silver-grey eyes. Her physique is long and lean, and she binds her breasts flat when not in her fuku.
Strengths:
- Protective – Amara will protect her kingdom with her life, and then some.
- Loyalty – Once someone gains Amara’s trust, she will be loyal until her very last breath.
- Combat – As previously mentioned, Amara has been trained to master many fighting styles since she was a child.
Weaknesses:
- Cruel – When in combat situations, she tends to show no mercy whatsoever, and at times when not fighting, she will be cruel simply for the sake of it.
- Calculating – Though this helps in combat, she tends to use it in political situations to turn them to her advantage.
- Martyr Complex – She is willing to sacrifice her own life for her mission or her kingdom.
Hopes:
- That one day her Father will stop blaming her for her Mother’s death.
- To be remembered as the greatest Sailor Uranus (more of an ambition, really…)
- In some tiny dark corner of her heart, she wants to be loved.
Fears:
- That her Father will always blame her for her Mother’s death.
- That her Father will always hate her for her Mother’s death.
- That she will be alone for the rest of her life.
Background: Her mother had died birthing her. It was a strange occurrence among the citizens of the Silver Millennium for a woman to die for her child, even more strange for a Senshi to die in a way that her Queen could not prevent. And yet, the Queen of Uranus, always seen as a slender, frail woman, had lost far too much blood for a tiny child that resembled her almost exactly. All of the Queens had been present for her birth, as was common when an heir was due, but her father had not been in Miranda Castle that day. He had not been able to say goodbye to his wife, and he could never look at his daughter without resenting her – hating her for that. The child, passed into the care of nursemaids and tutors, was granted a name that indicated her place in her father's eyes. Amara. The “eternal” reminder of what he had lost because of her. Born a Queen, the laws of the Silver Millennium would not let her receive her crown until she could become Sailor Uranus, so she lived a cold and lonely life as the only Princess of Uranus. However, her Father, Uranus himself, had never been one to abide by all laws unquestioningly.
That said, though she was trained for the power she would one day wield, Amara would never have been given her henshin stick or the Space Sword, nor been allowed to fight in defense of the Silver Millennium, had she not taken matters into her own hands. She had had the appearance of a Terran eighteen-year-old, when she had stolen the henshin stick and Sword, and forced her Father to accept that she was Sailor Uranus, whether he liked it or not. And yet, even though he grudgingly accepted this, he would not allow her to be crowned Queen until she married a suitor of his choosing. Furious, Amara had left Miranda then, and made a name for herself in the planet of Uranus itself, fighting in many of the countless civil wars the planet endured. Four Terran years later, she joined in the wars which always shook the very edges of the Solar System, and since then has been fighting in the reaches of space even beyond Pluto. However, now she has been summoned by Queen Serenity, High Queen of the Silver Millennium, and she wonders if the woman will finally overrule her Father, and allow her to claim the crown which has been denied her for so long.
RP Sample:
Contact Information: Private Message. Other: Amara has seen the Princess of Neptune from afar quite a few times during her life, but she has never been able to get her out of her mind. No matter how many other lovers she has – she actually had a small harem, as most Uranian Nobles do – she has never been able to feel anything for them, when she continually thinks of the Neptunian Princess. Experience: Er… eight, nine years? Something like that… Why do you want to play this character? Haruka/Amara/Uranus is a very strong character, but also very multifaceted. I’ve always wanted to delve deeper into the reasons for her personality being as it is, and through roleplay, I find that I can do this more easily. I also identify with her on many different levels, and she has also always been my favorite character. She has the ability to be a semblance of kind one moment, and then cold and distant the next, something that has always intrigued me – especially when her Silever Millennium self is taken into account. We’ve seen her in the manga and anime and musicals, but what was she like in her past life? That is something I have always wanted to figure out, and with my own ideas, I’ve always wanted to work with her as a character on a roleplay form, so that I can flesh her out and figure her out.
