Power(s): Mars has power over fire. Though fire is usually used to create destruction, Mars uses her flame as a warmth to protect her princess.
Abilities: She has a rather sixth sense. She is able to read the smallest fire and find a sign within them; or even to have visions. She is always the first to sense any kind of danger approaching.

Traits: Mars seems rather cool and disconnected on the surface. Which she rather is concerning most things. If something does not interest her, she will not play along as if it does. While at first glance she seems cold, she is extremely loving and devoted to her friends, especially her princess. She would easily lay down her life in order to protect someone whom she loves.
Habits: She does not have any true habits. The only thing that might pass for a habit is the fact that if she becomes worried or nervous, she generally turns to her fire for guidance or some form of sign.
Description: Mars’ fuku is made up of the colors red and purple. The bow situated on her chest is purple, as is the one on her backside, while the stars on her earrings and gem in her tiara are red.
When not in her uniform, Lady Mars will be found in a red gown when having to present herself before people, or casual knights clothes when wanting to train or just relax - much to the distaste of her mother.
Appearance: Mars stands at an average height of 5’6. Her hair is long and raven in color, and will usually be found hanging free around her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep violet. She is slim, and has a fit physique.

Strengths: Please describe in detail.

• Dedication and devotion, she will do absolutely anything to protect her princess, no matter what the cost is.
  
• Visions, though she does not always see the future clearly, it can be a great advantage to her.
  

Weaknesses: Please describe in detail.

• Princess Serenity, she would do anything for her, even lay down her own life. Though at times she will scold the princess, Mars loves her more than anything in the galaxy.
  
• Just a little over-confident, she believes that no matter what, she will always be able to make things right, and protect Serenity.
  

Hopes:

• Mars wants nothing more than to be able to stay with Serenity. To see her grow. For her to become a great queen.
  
• That she will be a great guardian, always able to protect her princess.
  
• That if the time ever came when Serenity no longer needed her, she would be able to help her people.
  

Fears:

• Loosing Serenity, or anyone close to her. Or even allowing something to happen to the princess.
  
• Foreboding visions with no clear design.
  

Background:
Mars XXII never truly took a queen of his own. He had a hall of consorts, and though he loved each of them, he favored the beauty Nerio. Even though his other consorts had given him children before her, when the beautiful baby Bellona was born, Mars seemed to have forgotten all of his other children.
Though he was known to be a ruthless king, he adored his daughter, and doted on her. By the time she was two years old her had named her his heir.
This enraged her older brothers, and they began to plot a way that their baby sister might just ‘disappear’ one day. However their plan took place after Bellona had begun to speak, and the night they had come for her, Mars had sat her on his lap as fire blazed before them for warmth and she had told her father a story of a boy reaching into a crib, taking a baby and stabbing her through the chest. Her mother had thought this story was utterly gruesome, and could not understand how a toddler could learn such a thing. Though when the princess had said she’s seen it in the fire her father had instantly understood, knowing of a rare gift that often materialized in a strong soul of their royal bloodline.
Her brothers were caught that night and banished.
As she grew older, Bellona’s skills sharpened, and her father would boast about how powerful and special his daughter was. At the age of 8 she finally decided she was sick of the gowns and laces her mother forced upon her, swapping her formal wear for the casual knights training outfit.
When Queen Serenity heard of the special ability possessed by Mars’ daughter, she was certain that she had found a new senshi who could protect her daughter.
With her mother and father extremely proud of her, Bellona set off for the moon kingdom to begin her training as a senshi.

RP Sample:
Sailor Mars stared intently into the dancing flame before her. Though every moment she spent separated from Serenity was hard on her, Mars wanting to be at her side at every moment to make sure no misery befell her - not even the slightest paper cut - she also found she was not able to spend too many days away from her fire. Just as when she was parted from her princess, being parted from her flame felt as though she was missing a vital fragment of herself, and it left a hollow feeling at the bottom of her chest. And so, though she would normally be spending the time she was allowed to relax still by Serenity’s side, there was also times when she had to return to her other side, a warm reminder of the love and support left for her back on her home world. It was also a good excuse to do another reading, not that she truly needed one. Though there were time when Mars wondered why she bothered calling upon a vision, when she knew everything would be peaceful, when it came to the moon princess she would much rather be safe than sorry.

Why do you want to play this character?
I really wish to join the RP, and because a Mars was needed, and I don’t have too much connecting with her character I was happy to play her!
I love how much Mars is devoted to her princess and I can’t wait to begin rping with her to establish that bond they have.
Mars’ ability has also always intrigued me, and I love when characters have that little bit of extra ‘oomf’ without taking it too far. (For example: She gets vague images from the flames because her powers are associated with fire. That’s good. What’s bad would be if she randomly passes out after her eyes roll back into her head, getting a crystal clear vision of events to come)
